About ACS Logistics Group

Commercial Freight Forwarding Specialists Since 1994

ACS Logistics Group is the operating brand of Advanced Cargo Systems Ltd, an independent UK freight forwarding and transport business supporting commercial cargo movements across the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Our five specialist divisions provide dedicated services for air freight, sea freight, urgent UK transport, European road freight and international express delivery.

More than three decades of commercial logistics experience

Advanced Cargo Systems Ltd was established in 1994 to support businesses with international freight forwarding and transport requirements. Since then, the company has developed around the changing needs of manufacturers, importers, exporters, distributors and other commercial organisations.

ACS Logistics Group represents the next stage of that development. It brings the company’s specialist services together under one group while giving each area of freight forwarding and transport a clear operational identity.

From Advanced Cargo Systems to ACS Logistics Group

The business has evolved over more than 30 years, but its role has remained consistent: understanding the shipment requirement, selecting the right transport solution and managing the movement through to delivery.

1994

Advanced Cargo Systems established

The company began by supporting businesses with international freight forwarding, shipment coordination and commercial transport requirements.

Continued development

Broader freight and transport capability

The service range expanded across air freight, sea freight, European road transport, urgent UK deliveries and international express courier movements.

ACS Logistics Group

Specialist divisions under one group

The five ACS divisions now give each service a dedicated identity while remaining part of the same established company and operating structure.

Why ACS is structured around specialist divisions

Air freight, sea freight, same day courier services, European road transport and international express delivery all operate differently. Each service uses different carrier networks, documentation, booking processes, transit schedules and operational controls.

Rather than handling every movement through one general freight department, ACS Logistics Group is organised around five specialist divisions. Each division focuses on a defined transport mode and the operational requirements associated with it.

This structure helps enquiries reach the team best placed to manage the movement while allowing customers to access several services through the same wider business where their logistics requirements involve more than one transport mode.

How we manage freight and transport enquiries

The objective is to apply the right service and level of control to each shipment rather than forcing every movement through one fixed operating model.

01

Understand the requirement

We review the collection and delivery points, cargo details, dimensions, weight, timing, handling requirements and commercial importance of the shipment.

02

Select the service

The movement is matched with the ACS division, transport mode and carrier network best suited to the route and required delivery outcome.

03

Plan the shipment

We coordinate collection, documentation, carrier bookings, customs requirements, routing and delivery arrangements where applicable.

04

Manage through to delivery

The relevant ACS team maintains operational oversight and communication throughout the movement until the shipment has been delivered.

Built around commercial shipment requirements

ACS Logistics Group is focused on business-to-business freight forwarding, courier and transport services. Our customers include manufacturers, importers, exporters, engineering companies, distributors, retailers and organisations managing time-sensitive supply chains.

Commercial shipments often carry consequences beyond the transport cost itself. A delay can affect production, customer commitments, installation schedules, stock availability or wider project delivery. That is why the movement must be planned around the commercial requirement, not simply booked as an isolated transport job.

We do not operate as a consumer parcel retailer. Our services are structured around businesses that need practical support, clear responsibility and appropriate shipment management.

Manufacturers Production parts, raw materials, machinery, components and finished goods.
Importers and exporters International cargo movements requiring freight and customs coordination.
Distributors and retailers Planned stock movements, urgent replenishment and customer deliveries.
Engineering and project teams Time-sensitive equipment, components and site-critical transport requirements.
